Pre-school registration packets will be available at the school office on April 1, 2016 for the upcoming school year.  Students who will be 3.0 years of age as of Aug. 31, 2016 can enroll in our program.  Click the picture below to view the Preschool Registration Packet.

Words Their Way Technology Integration and Other Activities


Use Handwriting for Kids  to use a dotted font to make sentences using your spelling words. Practice your handwriting and your spelling words at the same time!


Web Sketch! Use the computer mouse to sketch out your spelling words. Pick your writing tool and write away at  Crickweb for Kids.


Create word shapes at AtoZ Teacher Stuff.


Create a word search or word scramble using all of your spelling words on the website Scholastic Kids or Puzzlemaker


Play "Look, Cover, Write, and Check" on the computer.


Use a dictionary to look up the meaning of each word and write them in a notebook. You can use an online dictionary like: Fact Monster or Word Central.


Test, quiz, or play a game at SpellingCity!




Paper and Pencil Spelling Practice Activities

Make your spelling list into a concentration game. You can also make two sets of word cards and then you and a family member can play a memory game. Then continue to use as flashcards to practice all week.


Write all of your spelling words in ABC order.


Water Wash: On a nice sunny day use water and a paintbrush to water paint your words on a walkway or driveway. A chalkboard will work as well!


Write Ladder words. Example: (RED)

Write creative sentences using all of your spelling words. Underline the spelling words. Don't forget to use correct capitalization and punctuation.


Write an original story using all of your spelling words. Underline the spelling words. Don't forget to use correct capitalization and punctuation.


Write all of your spelling words 3 times each in pencil.


Type all of your spelling words 3 times each on the computer. Use size 16 font. Print your work and bring it to school.


Write each of your spelling words using "Rainbow colors" with 3 different colored pencils. Trace over each word 3 times in 3 different colors.
