WELCOME TO EASTFORD ROAD SCHOOL

Thank you to Ms. Frabotta and her team for putting together a wonderful night of activities called "Feeling Big - Family Literacy Night".  Students and parents were able to participate in centers featuring science, math and English Arts activities which align themselves with The Common Core Curriculum as well as the selections of Big Book literature.  Thank you to all who participated in this wonderful event!

Students in Mrs. Danforth's Pre-school class had a special surprise.   Students were able to see and learn about a real live snake.  Some students took part in touching the snake skin that had been recently shed.  HOW COOL!

Congratulations to Mrs. Danforth's Pre-school Class!
Annika Domey is the the winner of the box top collection for December.  The entire class was awarded a trophy for most overall BoxTops collected.  Great Job Everyone!

PBIS Stations
On Tuesday, January 5, 2016 the children at Eastford Road School rotated through six PBIS Stations to review behavioral expectations on the playground, in the bathroom, bus lines, bus, lunch and hallways.  The teachers reinforced information from the lesson plans and the PBIS posters which are posted in each specific area around the school.  What a great way to begin the new year!

On Tuesday, December 22, 2015 the children at Eastford Road School celebrated the holiday season with a reading of T’was The Night Before Christmas and Must Be Santa by their building principal Ms. Skrzypczak.  The children sang holiday songs and had a special visit from Santa Claus who passed out candy canes to all.

On Thursday, December 17, 2015 the children in Ms. Frabotta and Mrs. Fontaine's Kindergarten class welcomed parents to a Gingerbread Celebration.  The children listened to gingerbread stories, completed a Math Gingerbread Book, created gingerbread houses and snacked on gingerbread treats while wearing their gingerbread hats.

On December 10th, students and their families were invited to our Family Movie Night featuring "The Polar Express".  Students came dressed in PJ's with pillows and blankets.  Popcorn, snacks and drinks were served to everyone.  It was a fantastic night for all!

The children and parents in Ms. Frabotta and Mrs. Fontaine's Kindergarten class engaged in fun activities for Thanksgiving.

Under the direction of music teacher, Ms. Sprusansky, Eastford Road students sang beautiful holiday songs and passed out hand made greeting cards to the residents of Radius Health Care Center.

Thank you to Ms. Nikki, our library volunteer,  for helping our students with selecting books to bring home and read.
