ERS Instructional Focus Statement
All staff and students at Eastford Road School will engage in a coordinated whole-school effort to show growth in pre-reading readiness skills through the implementation of Wilson Fundations, small group instruction and explicit literacy instruction through read-alouds. Kindergarten student success will be measured by DIBELS Next and Standards-based assessments. Pre-Kindergarten student success will be measured by standards-based assessments.

WELCOME TO EASTFORD ROAD SCHOOL

The local Zoo Show came to Eastford Road School.á Students saw a llama, squirrel monkey, turtle, snakes and various other animals and reptiles.


On Wednesday, May 13th students from Eastford Road School enjoyed a spectacular show of African music, artsáand dance.


Congratulations to Quentin Wade!
Quentin is our #1 Box Top Collector for April & May.
This is the second time Quentin has won this wonderful award.


"Decades Day" at Eastford Road School was a big hit.á Students dressed in their favorite outfits from the 50's, 60's, 70's and on.á

Students engaged in a coordinatedáschool wide effort to show growth in reading.á Congratulations to our top readers!á Great job!



On Tuesday, March 31, 2015 Eastford Road School hosted a Family Social Studies Night from 6:00-8:00 pm. áThe children listened to four selections of literature and completed an activity for each which aligned with The Common Core Standards for Kindergarten. áThe families also played Community Helpers and Fire Safety Bingo games. áA great time was had by all!



The children in Miss Frabotta and Mrs. Fontaine's Kindergarten class celebrated St. Patrick's Day with their families. áThe children frosted a shamrock cookie, played Lucky Bingo, grew a leprechaun and shared in a game of pin the green egg on the plate after listening to Green Eggs and Ham.
